Parents and Guardians:

It is time to schedule a time to visit Streetsboro High for a conference. We will be holding conferences on Thursday, September 25th. Please plan on conferences lasting around 20 minutes.

This year Streetsboro High School has gone paperless for scheduling conference times! The entire school will be using  myconferencetime.com/streetsborohs to schedule times. There are only a select number of appointments for a given time slot (we recommend that you sign up early for your preferential time). Please sign up for a time slot by visiting http://www.myconferencetime.com/streetsborohs

If you are unable to sign up for a time and date via your personal computer or public library, please call the guidance office at (330) 422-4210. We can schedule you with a time based on the teachers’ availability.

A MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT

What an exciting time to be a Rocket! Thanks to the residents of Streetsboro, we now have the historic opportunity to rebuild our entire school district. Our students will now enjoy state-of-the-art facilities, K-12, for years to come. This commitment is not to be taken lightly.  The residents of this community have continued to give us the support we need to offer the best education possible for ALL STUDENTS.  I believe the ENTIRE staff in Streetsboro is up for the challenge and ready to honor the commitment made by our residents.  Our time is now!  We will seize this opportunity and make the Streetsboro City Schools one of the best school districts in the State of Ohio.

A special thank you goes out to the Streetsboro Levy committee for their tireless work in passing this issue.  Members of this committee have devoted thousands of hours to make this dream a reality.  Thank you to the entire committee for their sacrifice and victory!

I would also like to extend a congratulations to our Board of Education members Denise Baba, Andrew Lesak and Brian Violi who were re-elected, along with board members Kevin Grimm and John Kelly.  It is an honor to work with all of you.  Your laser focus and commitment to our students, families and staff is a big reason this issue has passed!  You have all worked tirelessly to make this project a possibility. Well done!

This work has only just begun.  For now, celebrate, and be proud to be a Rocket!

Here's to the future of Streetsboro!

HS Students Conference with LA Director/Producer

On Monday evening, April 7th, members of Streetsboro Theatre conducted a videoconference with L.A. directed/producer, Erin Brown, who directed the original music video, Alice, for the group’s Fall Extravaganza, “Welcome to Wonderland.” Those present included junior, Emily Fernandez; senior, Jake Edgerton; junior, Cassidy Emch; junior, Alex Hahn; freshman, Kenny Guzy; director, Jim Boardwine; assistant director, Anthony Madden and technology integration specialist, Maureen Haska. Brown offered advice about Streetsboro Theatre’s upcoming fundraiser, which will be a campaign on Kickstarter. Our school’s program will begin raising funds mid-April for an upcoming feature film project. The movie they plan to produce is a modern spin on Alice in Wonderland. Alice, who has recently left the UK and moved to America with her mother and younger sister, struggles to differentiate between reality and fantasy as she copes with her parents’ turbulent divorce. In this original, coming-of-age story, the characters of Wonderland help Alice reach the realization that escapism is not the answer to dealing with grief and confusion. Streetsboro Theatre is excited to team once again with Brown and other professionals to create a spectacular piece of entertainment.

New Online Fee Payment System

Streetsboro City Schools would like to announce a new convenience feature for paying your student’s school fees. PayForIt is an online fee payment system designed to give you more flexibility and convenience in how you pay your students fees each year. PayForIt allows you to create a secure online account where you can pay your student’s fees with your Visa, MasterCard, Discover credit card or Electronic Check thus eliminating the hassle of paying with cash and checks. On the back of this letter you will find instructions on how to set up your account and begin using the PayForIt system to pay your student’s fees. Please see the link under featured content on the right side of this page.
